Online system GC-FID/PID
The system is capable of continuous Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) analysis, present in process gases CO2 and N2 type at trace levels. The equipment performed automatically and coordinated, selection, concentration and analysis of the consigned sample by both channels simultaneously.
Ppm
VOC level channel (alcohols, aldehydes, ketones halogenated):
Ppb level BTEX channel (Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylenes):
Acetaldehyde Ethyl Acetate benzene p-xylene
Metanol 2-Butanol Toluene m-Xylene
Ethanol 1-Bromopropane o-xylene ethylbenzene
Propionaldehyde isobutanol
Acetone n-butanol
Isopropanol iso-amyl acetate
t-butanol
n-propanol trichloroethylene
The
system has two analysis channels for both groups of VOCs and is based on an injection valve
multiposition integrated to an Agilent 7890A GC, a sample flow controller and a double channel with
injectors, columns and independent detectors, and adapted for simultaneous determination of the above
components, all in a single analysis by automated and unattended way.
FID channel for the ppm level components (VOCs): |
- Injection loop 1 mL managed by automatic valve. |
- Specific composite capillary column (ref KRCIAPR0001). |
- Capillary FID detector. |
PID channel for the ppb level components (BTEX): |
- Multimode Injector (MMI) modified with a specific trap (KRCIAPR0003) for the Thermal Desorption technique associated with a gas management valve. |
- Specific composite capillary column (ref KRCIAPR0002). |
- Detector PID (photoionization detector) of O.I. ANALYTICAL model 4430. |
