Mobile Laboratory

MOBILE LABORATORY OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL - MONITORING OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTANTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL EMERGENCIES

Reduces time to obtain reliable analytical results compared to conventional laboratory tests, helping to make quick decisions on the spot for each case of an environmental emergency.

Advantages of TD-GC/MSD system based on the mobile laboratory for the analysis of air pollutants:

Mobility in case of emergency:
• Instruments with anti-vibration design and tested for their transportability.
• Analytical systems ready to start working immediately without hardware modifications.

Application versatility (samples of air, water and soil):

• List of extended components in an individual analysis within 8 minutes.

• Analytical techniques for a high range of sample matrices.

• Multiple techniques of introduction of possible samples (liquid sampler, TSP, TD, P & T, HS, SPME ....).

Minimum response time:

• Easy start up of all systems (quick start up by using simple protocols).

• First analytical results generated within <100min. since the arrival with the Mobile Laboratory.

• Results Table HTML automatically generated after each analysis.

Specifications of mobile laboratory for Environmental Applications:

• Vehicle with interior space: 2.3 meters internal height. Enough space in the laboratory for two operators.

• Vehicle with an ordinary license (B1) for driving. No need for a skilled driver.

• External electrical connection, integrated generator and UPS system for full autonomy and protection of instrumentation.

• Air conditioning on the roof and ventilation systems. Thermal insulation in walls and floors with non-slip plywood.

• Gas supply system: helium cylinder or hydrogen generator. Automated exchange of bottle for maximum autonomy.

• Furniture with anti-vibration systems for analytical instruments. Security system with locks for different equipment / furniture.

• Integrated weather station for measuring: wind speed, direction, humidity, temperature, pressure, GPS data, etc., on a telescopic pole very easy to implement from inside the vehicle, without need to access to the roof.

• On-line monitoring of volatile organic compounds (VOC) by TD-GC/MSD 5975T. Can alternately run cylinders, canisters and bags,  as well as a maximum of 100 tubes TD automatically.

• Calibration with liquid sampling, pressurized gas cylinders or tubes doped of thermal desorption (TD).

• Continuous analyzer multiparameter integrated for ozone analysis (O3), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), nitrogen oxides (NOX), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), sulfur hydrogen (H2S), particles (PM10 and PM2.5).

• Optimized control software for the remote operation via PC or iPad.

CONCLUSIONS:

  • Mobility and rapid response to environmental emergencies in obtaining accurate data analysis in-situ.

  • Quick Scan and automatically generating results.

  • Easy to use. It does not require experienced user to start measurements.

  •  Remote access, control and supervision.

  • Continuous and discrete analysis online. Sampling indoors and outdoors.

  • Emergency Mobile Unit addressed to government agencies, police departments and military.

  • Performance Laboratory GC/MSD in the field of Environmental, Toxicology and Food applications.

  • Other mobile solutions of Agilent: HPLC, FTIR, Microwave Plasma-AES and MicroGC.

  • Integration of non-Agilent instruments in the Mobile Laboratory: Multiparametric, weather station ...
