Online Process Gas Analyzer (Permament Gases + Hydrocarbons + Sulfur)

Online SYSTEM GC-TCD-FID-PFPD for monitoring Permanent Gases (H2, CO2, O2, N2, CH4, CO), Light Hydrocarbons (C1-C6+) and Sulfur Compounds (H2S, COS, RSH, etc).
The analytical system consists of a gas chromatograph Agilent 7890 with gases injection technology, Fleximetal connections, and equipped with 3 parallel systems of analysis, each one with injector, columns (pre-column and column) and detector (FID, TCD and PFPD).
The system control and the signal processing, is composed of the above programs:
ChemStation for GC control and generation of results.

CHEMTOBUS, for transforming all the results of the analyzed line components, in MODBUS values for their immediate transmission to the control system of the plant, by the corresponding communication board. The communications program is responsible of switching on automatically the computer.

WinPulse and PFPD view for all adjustment and diagnostic of the PFPD (sulfur detector) detection.

The analysis system performs three simultaneous analysis, from three separate injections of the same sample. By that way they analyze simultaneously the hydrocarbons (FID), permanent gases (TCD) and light sulfur (PFPD) contained in the same sample.
The results are processed, converted and transmitted to the control system automatically, using the corresponding software and hardware elements integrated into the monitoring system. The calibration process is performed manually or automatically by including it in the sequence analysis. There is only one method of ChemStation analysis controlling the stabilization of the injection loops, the injection itself, the temperature program, the flow rates and the commutation of the valves in performing backwashing of the analytical columns, and the detection parameters of TCD and FID. The parameters of the PFPD function are in the WINPULSE program file.
The analytical system fuction as an indefinite cycle of a predefined sequence, set up by the user from the sequence table ChemStation. The activation of this indefinite cycle is performed through the ‘macro “secuencia.mac”, go’ instruction in the command line of the ChemStation - ON LINE - METHOD AND RUN CONTROL. Each analysis comprises the following steps:
1. Selection and refresh of the current analyze: approximately 5 min.
2. Conditioning injection loop: approximately 0.5 min.
3. Chromatographic Step: approximately 15 min.
4. Processing and data transmission: less than 0.02 min.
The results are converted to MODBUS values and transmitted to the system by following the addresses stored in the ADRESSE.bus file of CHEMTOBUS program.
