Mobile Lab for on-line analysis of Formaldehyde and related compounds in ambient air
Formaldehyde is one of the ozone precursors VOCs more difficult for analysis because of its high volatility. The existing system allows continuous monitoring of formaldehyde and related compounds in air ambient through HS-SPME- GC/MSD technique with derivatization in-situ on the SPME fiber. It consists of an PAL injector for the preparation of the environmental sample, having a flow cell where is passed continuously ambient air and the analytes are captured by the derivatization (in-situ)-HS-SPME and subsequent analysis for the desorption of the fiber in the GC/MSD system.
