El sistema Micro GC Agilent 990 ofrece resultados útiles en segundos utilizando la mitad del espacio y menos de la mitad de la potencia que los GC de laboratorio tradicionales. Además, ofrece flexibilidad para:

El sistema básico 990, también conocido como DUAL, contiene uno o dos canales. Cuando se necesitan tres o cuatro canales, el instrumento está equipado con una cabina de extensión de canales. Esta combinación se denomina CUAD.
Cada canal es un GC miniaturizado con control electrónico de gases, inyector, columna de diámetro estrecho y detector para conseguir unas separaciones sensibles y eficientes. Los canales también cuentan con volumen de inyección, temperatura del horno y gas portador controlados independientemente, lo que simplifica la reconfiguración.
