Carbohydrates analysis is of interest to the food industry and also many fields in life sciences.The ALEXYS Carbohydrates Analyzer for mono, di- and simple polysaccharides is dedicated to the analysis of food and beverages, and suitable for analysis of functional groups in glycoproteins.

System configuration
For the analysis of carbohydrates we selected the Flexcell electrochemical cell. This cell has an exchangeable working electrode which is particularly useful in pulsed electrochemical detection. The electrode material tends to vanish over the years, in the process of pulsed amperometric detection. Exchanging an electrode disc only takes a few minutes. The HyREF is maintenance free even at pH 13! The ALEXYS Carbohydrates Analyzer (180.0052A) comprises the following parts:
