1290 Infinity Variable Wavelength detector

World’s most sensitive variable wavelength detector

The Agilent 1290 Infinity Variable Wavelength Detector (VWD) is the world’s most sensitive detector in this class. Time-programmable wavelength switching is provided delivering optimum sensitivity and selectivity for your applications. New electronic and optic components offer the lowest detector noise (<± 1.5 µAU) and baseline drift (< 1 x 10-4 AU/h) available for the precise quantification of trace levels. Ultra-productivity can be achieved with fast analysis at up to 160 Hz data rates. Advanced hardware components produce the lowest baseline noise and drift available and comprehensive diagnostic systems ensure system integrity.

  • The highest sensitivity and lowest detection limits, with lowest baseline noise and drift, have been achieved through significant hardware improvements over the most successful predecessor (the 1200 VWD).

  • Up to 100% resolution gain in ultra-fast LC, at up to 160 Hz data acquisition rate, is possible. The high data rate makes this premium quality detector future-proof for the quickest separations.

  • Data Recovery Card (DRC) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for flow cells and lamps providing a new level of data security and traceability.

  • Electronic Temperature Control (ETC) - maximum baseline stability and practical sensitivity under fluctuating ambient temperature and humidity conditions.

  • Wide linear range possible for reliable, simultaneous quantification of primary compounds, by-products and impurities.

  • Automatic wavelength verification provided through the use of built-in holmium oxide filter.

  • Stop-flow wavelength scanning for fast wavelength optimization.

  • Early Maintenance Feedback (EMF) for continuous tracking of instrument usage, in terms of lamp burn time, with user-defined limits and message types.

  • Extensive diagnostics, error detection and displays provided using Instant Pilot Controller and Agilent Lab Advisor software.
