Thermal Desorption

The thermal desorption technique is used for the analysis of volatile organic compounds in gaseous samples. Samples in gas phase are collected in tubes with specific fillers for the compounds we want to analyze, then the desorption tubes are introduced into the thermal desorption equipment heating the tubes, releasing VOC's and SemiVOC's, these VOC's are re-concentrate on focusing traps incorporating in the equipment, once the traps are focused these are heated quickly releasing VOC's directly to the GC/MS injector. We provide thermal desorption systems that allow analysis of VOC's and SVOC's in samples captured in bags, canisters or environmental samples with direct feedback and online.
